Handling

It all comes down to the right handling

In industry, handling and robotics solutions are some of the most frequently needed applications for automatable tasks. However, they often tie up significant engineering capacities. The automation solution ctrlX AUTOMATION makes it easy to put in place individual handling solutions and achieve quick and efficient engineering. Systems for handling can thus be commissioned up to 50 percent faster and the time to market for handling systems and robots is reduced considerably.

Automate handling and robotics systems more quickly and easily

Numerous apps from Bosch Rexroth and third party providers are available in order to improve the productivity of systems for handling and robotics. These cover all conceivable motion tasks, for example. They can be downloaded from the ctrlX Store. The automation toolkit ctrlX AUTOMATION offers all necessary software and hardware components for fully automating system solutions. For example, the high-performance, compact ctrlX CORE control unit can be integrated into robotics and handling applications and expanded freely and flexibly with suitable functions. The Linux-based control unit can control various robot movements. Because the apps can be installed via plug and play, the engineering work is reduced significantly.

One focus of the handling solutions is on Cartesian robots. CIMCORP,  a manufacturer and integrator of material flow systems, uses ctrlX AUTOMATION to optimize its robotics solutions for order processing and storage. This results in maximum precision. CIMCORP can also make savings, for example reducing the amount of space needed in the control cabinet by 30 percent. The entire automation toolkit of ctrlX AUTOMATION  is used here. At the heart of it is the control system ctrlX CORE which is integrated into ctrlX DRIVE. ctrlX DRIVE is a compact, intelligent and regenerative drive solution. CIMCORP also uses the software ctrlX MOTION for Cartesian robots.

As lean manufacturing becomes increasingly important, it is a question of streamlining processes in order to act more quickly and flexibly and thus achieve greater economy. This also includes warehouse logistics and intralogistics. Bosch Rexroth has come up with the decentralized IndraDrive Mi drive technology, a solution which offers maximum flexibility while requiring minimal space. Great savings are possible when it comes to wiring and energy consumption. When combined with ctrlX CORE, another ultra-compact control unit, this results in an unbeatable automation solution. A load handling device from DAMBACH, a provider of innovative, sustainable storage systems, features IndraDrive Mi for example. This reduces the weight of the device and the amount of space it requires.  The reduced weight allows higher dynamics and shorter process times and improves storage system performance. The Multi-Ethernet interface for connecting to various communication protocols also ensures flexible connectivity.
