Parameterizing and reading out hydraulic valves with a smartphone and Bluetooth

With the newly developed generation of digital on-board electronics for hydraulics, Rexroth allows economical scaling between analog components and those with a fieldbus/Ethernet connection. It takes advantage of the economic benefits of digitalization with no additional cabling. The new generation provides the open interfaces Bluetooth and IO-Link. In conjunction with a suitable app, commissioning engineers, operators and service technicians can access components and change parameters using their smartphone – directly and independently of the machine control system.

Linear power made easy

Bosch Rexroth’s development work has taken the hydraulic linear drive to a whole new level. The evolutionary CytroForce concept manages to squeeze previously bulky structures into a smart compact axis for power, movement and positioning tasks. The out-of-the-box solution consisting of flow-optimized standard modules sets new benchmarks in terms of power density, energy efficiency and quiet operations. It is supplied as a plug-and-produce system, meaning that even machine manufacturers who do not possess expertise in hydraulics can benefit from the optimized overall costs involved.

225 years of Bosch Rexroth:
from a water-driven forge to a digital high-tech pioneer

The story began in 1795 when Georg Ludwig Rexroth launched the water-driven forge for iron production in the Spessart mountains in Germany. With this, he founded what now is one of the oldest technology companies anywhere in the world. Part of the Bosch Group today, Bosch Rexroth AG is a technology and market leader for drive and control technologies used by mechanical and plant engineering partners around the world.

Subsea Valve Actuator certified for Safety Integrity Level 3

The new concept for Subsea Valve Actuators (SVA) from Bosch Rexroth has been certified by DNV GL for application in safety systems with up to Safety Integrity Level (SIL) 3 requirements. The SVA is a self-contained actuator for opening and closing process valves in the deep sea at depths down to 3000 meters and deeper. The system consists of an electrically controlled drive with a hydrostatic transmission, which saves up to 75% of the energy required compared to a conventional electro-mechanical axis.

Green hydraulics for climate protection

Climate protection initiatives or the EU’s Green Deal are increasing the pressure on machine manufacturers to help their customers achieve their targets with energy-efficient hydraulic solutions. Compared to conventional technologies, the Sytronix variable-speed drives from Bosch Rexroth reduce energy consumption and electricity costs by up to 80 percent. The intelligent electrohydraulic systems indirectly reduce CO2 emissions by the same amount. Bosch Rexroth obtained these figures during real modernization projects.

Transparent with a perfect flow

Produced using 3D sand core printing, the new hydraulic manifold for channel balers features a complementary condition monitoring concept. The inner geometry, which was optimized via simulation, helps system end-users to achieve an entirely new level of productivity, while the additive manufacturing of manifolds opens up new opportunities for manufacturers when integrating machines and functions. The individual manifolds complement Bosch Rexroth’s conventional range of products for channel balers, scrap shears and scrap presses.

Bosch Rexroth's spare parts service for industrial hydraulics shortens ordering and repair times for its users. The expanded range of tools extends from easy ordering via app, to a comprehensive spare parts program with over 150,000 material numbers and thousands of original seal kits, to contractually secured spare parts supply.
