The Smartphone of Automation
Referred to as “The Smartphone of automation”, Rexroth’s new product family, ctrlX AUTOMATION, makes automation as easy as using your
smartphone. And, with an open-system architecture, this new platform is ready for current and future communication standards –
including 5G, OPC UA and TSN – making it the most future-proof system on the market. Watch this on-demand webinar series to learn
how to stay TWO STEPS AHEAD with ctrlX AUTOMATION.
When unplanned machine downtime occurs, the clock is ticking. Identifying an issue before it occurs is key to shop floor efficiency.
Use Rexroth’s servo drive-integrated analytics for monitoring your most critical electro-mechanical components.
Factory of the Future
Gain actionable insights from Rexroth experts and other industry leaders about the
required steps and technologies for engineering your Factory of the Future.
Machine OEM uses Safety as a competitive advantage
Rexroth's flexible Safety technology allowed BW Papersystems-Zerand to use its existing controls system
and co-processors, reducing the cost of implementation and increased productivity.
Think outside the cabinet – Maximize production flexibility
Need to change your machine design or plant layout? Rexroth’s Factory of the Future can adapt to
fast-changing requirements at any time. Rexroth's motor-integrated drive technology enables entirely
cabinet-free machines, making it quick and easy to reconfigure your production line.
The competitive value of Machine Safety
Learn how functional Machine Safety fuels productivity focused on 5 key
areas: improved machine uptime, easier troubleshooting, reduced scrap and
floor spacing, increased operator safety.

Learn, why the future lies in the digitized value and material
“Digitize your entire value chain with Bosch” Plants, processes
and conditions vary with every single project. And yet there are
nine factors that all have in common – and that will lead to a
successful implementation of Industry 4.0. Find out how to
implement connected manufacturing, backed by the long-term
expertise of the Bosch group and the experience from numerous
successful customer projects.
ctrlX AUTOMATION surmounts the classic boundaries between machine
controls, the IT world and the Internet of Things. With a Linux
real-time operating system, consistently open standards, app
programming technology, web-based engineering and a IoT
connection, it reduces components and engineering effort by 30
TS 2 Booster
When products have to be transported quickly into a process
station, the pallet booster from Rexroth now reduces transfer
and cycle times to a minimum. As a modular application in the
Rexroth transfer system TS 2plus, it gives your processes a
boost in no time.
Making the most of 5G
Manufacturing industry is working together on 5G to achieve the
best possible outcomes. Andreas Mueller, Head of Communication
and Network Technology at Bosch Corporate Research, and Chairman
of the 5G Alliance for Connected Industries and Automation
(5G-ACIA), looks at why collaboration is important to the
5G in Action
So much more than just fast internet for smart phones, 5G will be
a significant breakthrough for manufacturing industry.
The intelligent factory floor
In the Factory of the Future, the floor, walls and ceiling are
the only elements that are fixed. All machines and systems are
movable and modular, enabling a production line to be added or
extended, with autonomous guided vehicles (AGVs) handling the
flow of goods to the point of need.
ctrlX AUTOMATION - two steps ahead
More than half of the value added in mechanical engineering now
consists of software development.
Smart Function Kit
Whether assembly, joining, forming or testing the Smart Function
Kit from Rexroth is suitable for many standardized applications
for forces from 2 to 30 kN. The modular system combines
mechanical and electrical components. Delivered in a single
package, including pre-installed operating software.
The valves are more dynamic and consistently achieve flows that
could previously only be achieved with the next highest
available size. Integrated electronics (OBE) allow the new valve
series to be networked via open interfaces with higher-level
control units and Industry 4.0 environments, even when under
analog control. This means that valves can already be integrated
into forward-looking automation concepts today.
It’s fair to say that no one knows their machines as well as the
manufacturer. Yet this close technical relationship is often
lost when a machine is sold via a dealership network. This means
that technical expertise is distanced from the customer and can
result in a complicated chain of communication.
