We were very much looking forward to finally being able to welcome you in person again at the SPS in Nuremberg. With a heavy heart and in view of the currently very serious COVID-19 situation in Germany, we have now decided to cancel our participation in the trade fair in Nuremberg. The health of all participants is our top priority.

Bosch Rexroth has created a new world of automation. More than 300 companies are implementing ctrlX AUTOMATION in their applications and the step from an open platform to an industrial ecosystem has now been taken with the launch of ctrlX World in 2021. Significant improvements to the solution were also made this year – and further improvements are planned for 2022.
Automation up close and personal: the system’s diverse range of options at a glance
With our automation system ctrlX AUTOMATION, we offer different combination options of hardware and software components for individual use cases, such as PLC and IoT or packaging applications. We will be happy to put together the best automation solution for your use case.
What’s more, you can speak to our experts right now to discuss planned product improvements such as new ctrlX CORE extension levels. The launch of an extremely high-performance version of the compact control is planned for 2022. It uses cutting-edge CPU technology to achieve approximately 7 to 8 times the usual power.
We will also be able to provide you with information about new features for the connected industry. For example, as a functional extension of ctrlX CORE, ctrlX I/O offers comprehensive communication and performance enhancements as well as I/O modules geared towards technologies of the future such as 5G, TSN and AI.
A world of automation full of apps
ctrlX AUTOMATION is known for being open and scalable at all levels and for featuring app technology. As such, the ecosystem boasts numerous apps developed by Bosch Rexroth and third-party providers in the ctrlX Store but it is also easy for you to develop your own apps. In a personal conversation you will get an insight into the software architecture and we will present apps of our partner companies from the ctrlX World.
Less engineering – more performance
Advanced automation means straightforward engineering. With ctrlX WORKS, Bosch Rexroth makes it easy to create, provide and use functions. In 2021, a wide range of new functions for even more efficient engineering processes were added. As such, for example, ctrlX WORKS now offers a simple, clearly structured scripting interface, the Automation Interface, for automating engineering processes. Recurrent engineering processes can be automated via simple scripts. This reduces the work involved by 80% - 90%.
With our innovations in the ctrlX WORKS product range, we are once again reducing the engineering effort, significantly expanding the possibilities and taking virtual engineering to a new level.
Services for the entire lifecycle
We pay particular attention to accompanying services in order to ensure that you can take care of your automation tasks in the best way possible. With ctrlX SERVICES which was introduced last year and is being gradually expanded, users are offered support over the entire product lifecycle. We offer the ctrlX Device Portal for launching new software functions, centrally managing and maintaining device settings or carrying out remote maintenance. Bosch Rexroth’s services range from device & fleet management to engineering, support & information and after-sales service.
The Factory of the Future
In the Factory of the Future, everything will be connected – from field level to cloud-based IT systems. Automation solutions will only fit into this environment with open standards. This also applies to mechatronics, as demonstrated by our Smart MechatroniX solution platform under the motto “Plug & Produce, Perform, Proceed”. Our ActiveShuttle autonomous transport system is also fully connected. It already acts as a gateway to the Factory of the Future: it can be quickly implemented without you having to adapt your existing factory infrastructure.
