Bosch Rexroth Cybersecurity Day:
Let’s go CRAzy. Secure.

Under this motto, the Cybersecurity Day took place in Ulm on July 16, 2025. During the one-day event, participants had the opportunity to gain comprehensive information about cybersecurity.

The event kicked off with a remarkably realistic live hacking show, which impressively demonstrated the dangers of cyberattacks to the attendees. Following this, Michael Langfinger, Product Owner Cybersecurity of the Business Unit Automation at Bosch Rexroth, explained various legal regulations surrounding cybersecurity, with a focus on the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA).

The requirements of the CRA pose significant challenges for companies. What this means specifically for machine builders was illustrated through a practical example from the packaging industry. Marvin Wenzel, Team Lead Development Control Software at ROVEMA, addressed the IT/OT challenges in the packaging industry in his presentation and demonstrated how secure automation can be achieved with ctrlX AUTOMATION.

In addition, innovative cybersecurity solutions such as the Linux-based operating system ctrlX OS and the associated apps from Bosch Rexroth were presented in detail. The ctrlX World partner TXOne Networks complements the solution portfolio of the automation system ctrlX AUTOMATION. On-site, Jasmin Steinhoff, Pre-Sales Manager DACH at TXOne Networks, provided insights into how machine builders can successfully implement IT security concepts in the industry.

In the afternoon, participants also had the opportunity to experience the presented solutions live through the example of ModelFab. During the Experience Sessions, there was also the opportunity to directly test the security features of ctrlX OS.

We have summarized the most important highlights of the Cybersecurity Day in our impressions video:
