ctrlX AUTOMATION @ BCW 2024

Bosch Connected World (BCW) opened its doors in Berlin from 28.02. – 29.02.2024:
80 exhibition partners and 180 keynote speakers presented innovations in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT). The combination of conference topics, the exhibition and the many on-site networking opportunities attracted a total of 4,000 participants on both days.

Exhibition

Bosch Rexroth and the ctrlX AUTOMATION Game Changer team were right in the middle of it all. Visitors were able to experience the automation system ctrlX AUTOMATION live at the booth. In keeping with our guiding theme of openness & co-creation, we shared the booth with the ctrlX World partners Balluff, Software Defined Automation and WAGO. Through partner companies, Bosch Rexroth is expanding its range of hardware and apps for the automation system ctrlX AUTOMATION.

Conference

In addition to the exhibition area, Bosch Connected World also offers various presentations, including the opening keynote speech by Stefan Hartung, Chief Executive Officer Robert Bosch GmbH, on the topic of "Performing today, shaping tomorrow".

On behalf of Bosch Rexroth, Thomas Fechner provided interesting insights on the topic of "Competing in disrupted manufacturing industries" and detailed the three success factors #digitalfirst, #trueopenness, #collaborative & #ecosystems.

In addition to the official presentations, there were also networking hubs. The ctrlX AUTOMATION team also took part here with a session on "Digital Industry with a state-of-the-art, flexible software platform" moderated by Hans-Michael Krause, Director Product Management ctrlX World.

Hackathon

In addition, the ctrlX AUTOMATION team from Bosch Rexroth successfully participated in the BCX Hackathon together with the ctrlX World Partner Software Defined Automation. This was a three-day event open to all new and experienced programmers, developers, UX and product designers.

We are already looking forward to the next BCW 2026.
