6th ctrlX AUTOMATION trade press conference

On September 26, 2024, Bosch Rexroth exclusively informed the trade press about exciting innovations from the world of automation at the 6th ctrlX AUTOMATION press conference. This year at a special location: at the Bosch plant in Immenstadt. The journalists had the opportunity to visit a production facility where ctrlX AUTOMATION is in use.

The editorial teams of SPS-Magazin, MaschinenMarkt, elektrotechnik, open automation, Computer & Automation, Digital Engineering, AMA digital and Markt & Technik first received an overview of the most important facts about ctrlX AUTOMATION and the milestones of the past year: over 2,000 ctrlX AUTOMATION customers, over 100 ctrlX World Partners, over 80 apps in the ctrlX OS Store and a total of five ctrlX OS OEMs.

This year’s portfolio highlights focused on software. The following apps were presented in detail: Model Connect, ctrlX MOTION and the Lumi Scan Suite of the ctrlX World Partner HD Vision System. Read more in this press release.

Subsequently, a representative of ELMO Motion Control presented how ELMO complements the ctrlX AUTOMATION product portfolio with its solutions.

Also, the ctrlX World has grown. Three new ctrlX World partners were welcomed on site to explain how their solutions work with ctrlX AUTOMATION: Pepperl Fuchs, ServiceNow and SMC Germany. More information about the highlight-partners can be found in this press release.

This was followed by a presentation of the innovations around the Linux-based operating system ctrlX OS. New features of the LTS Release 2.6 were presented. Furthermore, ctrlX OS will be positioned even more strongly as a universal, vendor-neutral operating system for a variety of industrial applications.

Finally, Eaton presented itself on site: Eaton is currently evaluating the use of ctrlX OS to integrate its products into existing ctrlX OS-based automation systems. More information in this press release.

At the end of the event, the participants had the opportunity to see live during the factory tour how the control system ctrlX CORE ensures more connectivity and performance at the Bosch plant in Immenstadt.
