Festo SE & Co. KG

Save engineering time with the Festo remote-I/O-system
By using the Festo remote-I/O-system CPX-AP and valve terminals engineering time can be significantly reduced. With its modularity and the opportunity of both, centralized and distributed or combined topologies the system matches any use case.
Seamlessly integrate the Festo remote-I/O-system into ctrlX OS
The Festo remote-I/O-system CPX-AP connects seamlessly to ctrlX OS. This allows for easy connection of centralized or distributed sensors and (pneumatic) actuators.
Integration of proportional valves into ctrlX OS for precise compressed air control
High precision and dynamics for compact pressure control on multiple channels with low flow rates: The Festo valve terminal VTEP is seamlessly integrated into ctrlX OS. Ideal for industries such as electronics and semiconductor, life science, textiles, battery manufacturing, and many more.
Advantages
- Seamless connectivity from PLC to sensors and actuators
- Easy integration of the remote-I/O-system optionally with safety in combination with pneumatic
- Robust and lightweight at the same time
- Comfortable and time-saving integration into ctrlX OS
Target Groups
- Machine Builder
- Machine Operator
Topology
The remote-I/O-system with a combination of the modular and decentral modules provides best fit to any machine. The system is used to connect digital and analogue sensors, actuators, and valve terminals as well as IO-Link devices to the PLC and monitor the machine continuously with a real time diagnostic functionality. For industry applications where safety technology is required, the system can be extended with the right FSoE products.
For reading and writing EtherCAT is used. All collected data from Festo devices can be used in other applications.
