mlpi4MATLAB: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

After code generation of an EXE file Windows expects Admin rights to execute it. What can I do to avoid this?

Check if you used filenames including the words install, update or setup. Windows assumes that these are EXE files that can only executed with Admin permission.

Troubleshooting

mlpi4MATLAB Troubleshooting

mlpi4MATLAB Troubleshooting

I can not see the mlpi4MATLAB entry in the Simulink Libraries after installation.

After successful installation MATLAB has to restartet to update the Simulink Libraries browser.

After successful installation all m4M functions prompt an error message saying "...module not found...".

The MEX files of the toolbox need a Microsoft DLL that comes with the installation of Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or later.

I can run some of the samples but several fail.

To run all samples properly you need to download the reference project "./mlpi4MATLAB/samples/SampleProject/SampleProjektMlc45" to your motion-controller. All samples expect the motion-controller to be in sercos state "P4/BB" and all errors must be cleared. If you have a MLC25 or MLC65 you can convert the project to your target version. Read the Getting Started and Examples sections for additional details.
